Today’s update includes good news, other good, but not quite as good, but still good news, and a request for an introduction.
First the good news – McKay is back on trail! After a long 1.5 week hiatus, McKay hit the trail again yesterday proving that injuries can heal and the journey can continue. He’s still ~150 miles behind but everyone should still send him congratulatory texts!
Now the good, but not quite as good, but still good news. My knee is getting stronger! Tomorrow will be the first real test. Tomorrow I am going up and back on the trail for a mile without a pack. Assuming my knee does not snap, crackle or pop, I will be back on the trail (under a pitch count) come Wednesday.
Finally – if anyone could introduce me to someone on the tourism board in Damascus, please let me know. As I am looking for my post trail job, I think I see a good fit. Not only could I do a great job of recommending the diner to tourists (I have tried, and loved, almost everything on their exquisitely crafted menu), but I also have a few notes that I’d love to implement for the town (specifically a movie theater, bowling alley, arcade or any other activity that could help pass time). So please – put me in touch!
